Students at Mullens Middle School planted in the gardens at the Mullens Opportunity Center last spring. What they returned to this fall was a wealth of food. Unsurprisingly, one of their favorite finds was the 30# watermelon. Just in time for Farm to School Month, AmeriCorps Member, Ruby Ingram helped students plant, harvest, and taste test their watermelon.
